Experience of the Five Elements of Our Being. Everything in Universe is made up of five big elements: earth, water, fire, air, and space. In the same way, the physical bodies of living beings consist of five smaller elements that are similar in structure to the five basic big elements. Knowledge of the five elements allows the yogi to understand the laws of nature and to use yoga to attain greater health, power, knowledge, wisdom and happiness.
